XRP Ledger Unveils Major v3.3.0 Upgrade With Confidential Transfers and Institutional Tools
The XRP Ledger has released a major upgrade to its protocol, version 3.3.0, which includes six proposed amendments for validator voting.
These amendments aim to enhance the network's privacy, transaction batching, sponsored fees, delegated permissions, and token flexibility.
One of the notable proposals is Confidential Transfer, a feature that uses EC-ElGamal encryption and zero-knowledge proofs to shield individual Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) balances and transfer amounts from public view.
The Batch amendment allows multiple transactions to be executed as a single atomic operation, while Permission Delegation enables account owners to assign specific transaction permissions to another account without handing over control of the primary account's keys.
