XRP Ledger Unveils New Features in Upcoming xrpld 3.3.0 Release
The XRP Ledger is set to release its next software version, xrpld 3.3.0, which will introduce five new features aimed at enhancing the ledger's functionality and expanding its use cases in real-world applications.
According to Jaazi Cooper, head of product at RippleX, the amendments include confidential MPT (Multi-Purpose Token) for enhanced privacy in token transactions, batch for more efficient processing of multiple transactions, permission delegation for flexible account management, fee sponsorship and reserves adjustments to lower barriers for new users and applications, and dynamic MPT.
The features were previously delayed due to a critical security flaw but have since been improved and are now back under review. The XRP Ledger has already proven its capability in handling asset tokenization at scale and the upcoming changes aim to further support global remittances, trading, collateral use, and payments.
