XRP Ledger Upgrade Aims to Boost Institutional Adoption with Confidential Transfers
The XRP Ledger has released version 3.3.0, taking another step towards becoming infrastructure for institutional tokenization.
This upgrade introduces several proposed amendments focused on privacy, payments, and managing real-world assets (RWAs).
The most significant new feature is Confidential Transfers, designed to allow institutions to hide balances and transaction amounts for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) while keeping the accounts and asset type involved visible.
This could address an important obstacle for financial institutions, which may want transparency and settlement benefits without exposing sensitive position sizes or transaction values.
