XRP Ledger Upgrade Brings Enhanced Functionality and Privacy Features
The XRP Ledger is gearing up for its next major software upgrade, v3.3.0, which promises to bring significant changes to the network's functionality.
Jazzi Copper, Head of Product at RippleX, revealed that five amendments are being proposed as part of this release, aiming to enhance the network's capabilities and user experience.
The first amendment, Confidential MPT, uses elliptic-curve encryption and zero-knowledge proofs to ensure native privacy for Multi-Purpose Tokens. This means issuers and token holders can keep their balances and transfer amounts confidential while still allowing others to view transaction details if needed.
An auditor or regulator will have access to this information as required.
