XRP Ledger Upgrade fixCleanup3_3_0 Set for September Activation
A major upgrade for the XRP Ledger is set to activate on September 11 if validator support remains above the required threshold. The fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment, which was introduced in the XRPL software version release 3.3.0 in August, aims to strengthen several features across the network. This change includes a collection of fixes for Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers, the permissioned DEX, Checks, and pseudo-accounts.
The amendment has already gained traction, reaching a majority on August 28 and currently holding over 80% support with five days remaining before activation. The two-week timer began ticking after it passed the threshold, marking another step in the XRP Ledger's overhaul.
fixCleanup3_3_0 follows previous fix upgrades fixCleanup3_1_3 and fixCleanup3_2_0, which were activated on the XRPL mainnet in May and July, respectively. These fixes aimed to address various issues across the network, including NFTs, Permissioned Domains, Vaults, and the Lending Protocol.
