XRP Ledger Upgrades Fuel Price Push Towards $1.50 Target
XRP's price has been pushing towards $1.50 as the XRP Ledger undergoes significant upgrades, including version 3.3.0, which aims to make XRPL more practical for tokenized assets and institutional settlement.
The upgrade introduces features such as atomic transactions, confidential token transfers, and programmable token properties, among others. These developments align with a broader objective of making XRPL more suitable for financial applications where privacy controls and flexible asset structures are essential.
Under the XRP Ledger governance system, amendments must maintain over 80% support among trusted validators for two continuous weeks before becoming part of the ledger's rules. The first proposal to reach this stage is fixCleanup3_3_0, which focuses on maintenance and has already reached the necessary threshold.
The more ambitious upgrades, such as ConfidentialTransfer, DynamicMPT, and Sponsor, remain further back in the process but are expected to have a significant impact on the ledger's functionality. These features include privacy-preserving transfers of Multi-Purpose Tokens, flexible tokenized assets, and third-party fee support.
