XRP Ledger Validators Back Critical Permission Delegation Amendment
XRP Ledger's Permission Delegation amendment is gaining traction among validators on the network. The proposed system, part of xrpld 3.3.0, allows account owners to grant specific roles and permissions to trusted operators without revealing their primary wallet keys.
Validator Vet has confirmed support for the amendment, stating that it's a 'critical feature' for the XRP Ledger. He noted that the system gives separation of sensitive account ownership and operational responsibility, making token issuers and treasury teams more secure in their day-to-day operations.
The Permission Delegation feature allows organizations to grant certain functions without giving out master account keys, which can be stored in a cold storage facility. This model is beneficial for various use cases, including real-life tokenization of assets, stablecoins, and meme coins.
