XRP Ledger Validators Inch Closer to Approval for Major Upgrade
The XRP Ledger is on track to implement its major BatchV1_1 upgrade, which will unlock new functions and provide greater flexibility for developers. Currently, about 68% of network validators have signaled support for the update, with a threshold of at least 80% required for activation.
If support continues to climb at its current pace, the amendment could be fully approved by the end of September. However, developers note that this timeline is not guaranteed and will depend on stable validator backing.
The BatchV1_1 amendment proposes key functionality that has been sought for some time, including the ability to group up to eight individual transactions within a single bundled transaction. This will allow developers to define dependencies among different on-ledger actions and streamline the development of applications.
