XRP Ledger Validators Vote on Institutional Credit Infrastructure
The XRP Ledger has entered its final phase of launching native lending infrastructure for large businesses. Independent validators have begun voting on the XLS-65 and XLS-66 amendments, which will allow institutions to borrow directly from the blockchain's core.
The current level of support stands at 34-37% of the required 80%. Voting began after the code passed a rigorous security audit by Sherlock and Clearpool started the final testing of its technical demo on DevNet.
For XRP holders, this launch is crucial as it will enable them to pool their assets in Single Asset Vaults and generate real yield on equal terms with funds. Every lending transaction will also burn network fees in XRP.
