XRP Ledger's AI-Powered Transactions Surpass One Million as Price Pulls Back
XRP's price has cooled off in recent days after reaching a weekly high of $1.16, but one of its key applications, AI-powered transactions on the XRP Ledger, has hit a major milestone: over one million agentic transactions.
RippleX announced this achievement, with their head of engineering predicting that adoption will accelerate rapidly and the network could process 10 million AI-driven transactions in the near future. He added that the total could eventually surpass 100 million transactions within the next few years as artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to mature.
These AI agents operate independently on the XRP Ledger, determining when and how to execute financial transactions without requiring human approval for every step. RippleX believes the XRP Ledger is well-positioned for this emerging market due to its fast settlement speeds and efficient payment infrastructure.
The company's primary goal is to make it seamless for AI agents to pay for APIs and digital services using the XRP Ledger, but despite progress in this area, the price of XRP has struggled to maintain momentum. The token is currently trading at $1.11, below its key exponential moving averages, including the 50-day EMA ($1.15) and the 100-day EMA ($1.23).
