XRP Ledger's Mysterious Transaction Boom Defies Traditional Metrics
XRP Ledger's network activity is experiencing an unusual divergence in indicators, with increased transaction throughput and user interactions contradicting declining traditional metrics. The number of active accounts dropped by 25.9% to about 10,900, while payments decreased by 31.6% to roughly 440,000.
However, successful transactions rose by a greater 65.5% to 1.9 million, and XRPL processed around 2.1 million transactions, an increase of 38.5%. The number of transactions per ledger also skyrocketed by 110.6% to 157.33.
The number of active users is the most striking figure, increasing by 166.5% to about 489,500 despite the drop in active accounts. This anomaly suggests that network activity has changed in terms of both composition and intensity.
