XRP Left Behind in Crypto Bounce Amid Regulatory Uncertainty
XRP has failed to keep pace with other cryptocurrencies during this week's market bounce. While Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana each climbed 1% or more, XRP dropped about 5% to $1.03.
This underperformance is puzzling given that XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) still attracted net investor capital for a fourth consecutive week. However, inflows slowed sharply, collapsing roughly 93% from the previous week's total of around $10 million to approximately $1 million, according to data source SoSoValue.
Bitcoin and Ether funds pulled in hundreds of millions during this same period. Traders and analysts point to regulatory uncertainty as a key factor holding back XRP's price. The Senate has delayed consideration of the CLARITY Act until at least mid-September, leaving XRP's status uncertain.
Nexo analyst Iliya Kalchev notes that while XRP's positioning looks patient, with order flow staying large even as volume metrics turn neutral, long-term optimism remains high. The current setup is characterized by balanced flows rather than a confirmed breakout or capitulation.
