XRP Leverage Drops as XRPL Assets Hit Record High
XRP's market leverage has decreased by 14% in recent times. This is reflected in the drop of open interest from $558 million to $478 million, with funding rates turning negative. The decrease in market leverage suggests reduced speculative buying.
Binance's XRP reserves remain stable, and deposit addresses have sharply declined. This indicates a cooling of leverage without increased selling pressure.
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has shown strong growth in asset value, rising from $99 million in Q1 2025 to $4.26 billion by Q2 2026. This growth is driven by real-world assets (RWAs) and stablecoin RLUSD, which supports network liquidity and utility.
This trend points to a maturing ecosystem with growing institutional involvement and deeper transactional activity. As a result, XRP's fundamental value may be strengthening beyond short-term trading.
