XRP Needs 45% Rally to Reach $2 Amid Strong Institutional Interest
XRP's price action has taken a corrective turn after its sharp uptrend in August. Despite this, institutional interest in XRP remains strong, particularly through spot XRP ETFs. According to recent data, US-listed spot XRP ETFs attracted $110.49 million in inflows during the week ending August 28, marking their best weekly intake of 2026.
These funds have now seen cumulative net inflows reach approximately $1.66 billion, with the ETFs currently holding around $1.44 billion in net assets. This influx of capital has been led by Bitwise and Franklin Templeton, which together accounted for over $88 million in inflows during the latest reporting period.
However, the current price-action momentum remains less bullish than the ETF data might suggest. Observers note a growing divergence between institutional flows and market price, reinforcing the need for technical confirmation before higher targets become credible.
To reach the $2 level, XRP would need to rally by an estimated 45% from its current position. Key technical support for XRP is established near $1.35 to $1.36, and at deeper levels between $1.28 and $1.30. On the upside, resistance stands at $1.41 to $1.45, with a more significant barrier at $1.55 to $1.60.
