XRP Network Activity Rises Despite Stagnant User Growth
XRP's recent price drop to its lowest daily close since November 2024 has sparked concerns about the asset's underlying ecosystem. However, a closer look at network activity reveals that XRP users are still active.
According to Santiment data, XRP closed around $1 on August 12, roughly 69% below its January 2025 peak near $3.30. Despite this price drop, the number of active addresses has averaged around 35,700 per day in August, compared to approximately 26,400 in July.
The catch is that new-user growth remains stagnant, with an average of roughly 2,260 new users per day in August, similar to the 2,270 in July. This suggests that the increase in activity is being driven by existing XRP users rather than an influx of new participants.
In other news, Evernorth has adjusted its transaction with Armada II, which is working towards a planned Nasdaq listing. The amended terms will adjust the share count based on XRP's value at closing, ensuring that each common share represents a larger percentage of the treasury at current prices.
