XRP Outperforms Competitors with Lowest Annual Supply Dilution
21Shares has released an analysis of XRP's supply dynamics, showing that its circulating supply increased by 5.5% year-on-year in the first half of 2026.
This rate is lower than other payment-focused crypto assets like Stellar and TON, which have annual supply dilution rates of 8.8% and 9.6%, respectively.
The increase in XRP's circulating supply is due to releases and lock-ups from escrow accounts, with approximately 272 million XRP added to the market on average each month.
21Shares estimates that this translates to a 5.5% annual thinning of the supply for holders, considering current transaction fee levels.
