XRP Plunges Below $1 Amid Security Concerns and Market Volatility
The price of XRP slipped below $1 for the first time since November 2024 on Binance, dropping to an intraday low of $0.99 at 14:58 UTC.
This decline came after a report revealed that 200,000 XRP tokens were drained from the Coreum cross-chain bridge, sparking concerns about security and liquidity.
The token's price has been under pressure in recent months, losing approximately 46% of its value this year despite notable developments within the ecosystem, including full MiCA authorization for Ripple in Europe and the expansion of XRPL beyond payments with the introduction of an XRPL Lending Protocol.
