XRP Prepares to Take Down Bitcoin as Sellers Exhausted
The price of XRP has been steadily declining against the US dollar, hovering around $1.00, but analysis suggests it may be preparing for a strong move against Bitcoin.
A look at the weekly and monthly charts using Bollinger Bands shows that the price is sliding along the lower boundary of its range, with a potential target if it drops below $1.00 being the long-term support zone between $0.65 and $0.85.
However, when comparing XRP directly to Bitcoin through the $XRP/$BTC pair, the charts show that sellers are exhausted, and major players have not allowed the token to fall below its historic bottom of 0.00001480 BTC even during its darkest periods.
This difference in decline pace means that the $XRP/$BTC chart could begin to reverse upward once Bitcoin finally stalls, with a target return to average levels giving XRP a gain of roughly 28% against Bitcoin.
