XRP Price Action Echoes 2022 Trend, ChartNerd Warns of Possible Pullback
Market analyst ChartNerd has drawn parallels between XRP's current price action and its behavior in 2022. The analyst noted that after XRP's bear-market low in June 2022, the cryptocurrency rallied nearly 90% and approached its 50-week exponential moving average (EMA). However, this was followed by a correction of about 45%, retracing much of the prior gains and retesting the previous breakout area.
In his analysis, ChartNerd highlighted that XRP's current price structure shows striking similarities to the 2022 trend. The analyst advised investors not to be discouraged if XRP traces a comparable path of retracement before any sustained rally can develop. He noted that this correction is part of a typical foundation-building process.
ChartNerd emphasized that the 50-week EMA, currently near $1.50 to $1.60, remains central for traders. If XRP tests this region but fails to break above it, the analyst warns that a renewed decline toward recent lows could follow, mirroring events seen in 2022.
