$XRP Price Fails to Budge as Expert Sees $10 Target Within Reach
The XRP price has been stagnant at $1.07, but one expert believes it's not about hype or speculation, it's about filling a structural gap in the global monetary architecture.
Jake Claver's argument is that XRP removes the tension inherent in the Triffin Dilemma, which describes the contradiction between a national currency serving as a global reserve asset and the need for persistent trade deficits to supply liquidity. The United States has been living with this dilemma since 1944.
XRP, being a neutral non-sovereign settlement asset that settles transactions in seconds at negligible cost, fills this gap more cleanly than any existing instrument. Claver is watching the Japanese yen carry trade and its potential impact on stablecoin demand, specifically, the $GENIUS Act's requirement for stablecoins to hold U.S. Treasuries as reserves.
As stablecoin supply expands, institutional demand for Treasuries also grows, providing a buyer in the market when the carry trade unwinds and creates sellers. Ripple's regulated stablecoin, RUSD, operates on XRP Ledger infrastructure, creating demand for settlement capacity with every dollar issued.
The $10 price target follows from market cap mathematics rather than sentiment, it implies roughly $600 billion in market capitalization. Claver believes that the timing is the variable he cannot control, but the CLARITY Act and the pace of Ripple's acquisitions could accelerate the development of compliant products on XRP infrastructure.
