XRP Price Holds Near $1.00 as Whales Accumulate During Market Decline
The XRP price has been in a downward trend for months, but recent blockchain statistics suggest that large holders are accumulating more XRP despite the market's decline.
Santiment reports that 32 new wallets holding over 1 million XRP have appeared since the market cap dropped by 29% in the past three months. This is often seen as a 'smart money' signal, where whales accumulate during periods of fear rather than euphoric rallies.
The rise in active addresses and transfer activity on the XRP Ledger also indicates that genuine participants are entering the market near the bottom, according to Glassnode's data. The number of daily transactions has grown from 360,000 to 490,000, coinciding with the XRP price drop towards $1.01.
The legal situation surrounding XRP has improved significantly since the SEC case was settled in August 2025, removing a major cloud that had hung over the asset for years. Several spot XRP ETFs have been introduced, enabling institutions to gain access to XRP in a regulated manner.
