XRP Price Plummets Below $1 as Bitcoin's 'Death' Calls Reach Record High
XRP price fell below $1 this week, hitting as low as $0.99 due to a broader crypto market selloff.
The decline triggered bearish commentary online, with some traders declaring XRP and crypto in general on the way out.
However, not everyone sees it that way. Coach JB points out that Bitcoin has been declared 'dead' over 470 times since its creation, yet continues to rise.
According to figures shared by Coach JB, since January 2020:
Bitcoin is up approximately 796%
XRP is up approximately 445%
Gold is up approximately 179%
The S&P 500 is up approximately 137%
U.S. real estate is up approximately 55%
Couch JB advocates for a dollar-cost averaging strategy, buying more aggressively as prices fall and taking profits as they recover.
In his view, XRP could continue trading between $0.60 and $0.90 before a potential recovery later in the year, while Bitcoin may see further downside into the $40,000-$50,000 range.
