XRP Price Plunges to Lowest Level in Nearly Two Years Amid Regulatory Hurdles

XRP has fallen to its lowest price in nearly two years, dropping to $1.0049 on August 11, 2026. This marks a 69.4% drop this year and leaves XRP about 73% below its July 2025 high of $3.65.

The recent decline is not surprising, given the slowdown in ETF inflows and the stalled Clarity Act, which would have provided a clearer legal status for XRP in the US.

Ripple's lending protocol, built on standards called XLS-65 and XLS-66, could give holders a reason to lock coins away instead of selling them. However, validator support has held near 20%, far under the 80% threshold needed for it to activate.
