XRP's price has been under close scrutiny as former Ripple CTO David Schwartz addressed concerns about recent XRP Ledger network disruptions. According to Schwartz, the issues were minor and did not point to a problem specific to the network.

Schwartz explained that his hub experienced two events over the past two days in which the number of peers connected to it dropped, while some latency levels increased. He stated that his investigation suggested the incidents were linked to minor network disruptions rather than an XRP Ledger-specific issue.

Specifically, Schwartz noted that median round-trip application-level latency increased by less than 20% at its worst. At the same time, about 80% of peer connections were completely unaffected.

The former Ripple executive also provided figures that showed the limited scale of the incidents.

XRP remains in focus as it appears alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana in a Federal Register notice discussing proposed changes involving Commodity-Based Trust Shares and digital commodities.
