XRP Price Slips Amid Sustained Institutional Caution
The price of XRP has been trading near $1.0203 support as it continues to struggle relative to its recent trend benchmarks. The asset remains below both its short- and long-term moving averages, suggesting a continued softness in the market.
Despite the release of the XRPL v3.3.0 upgrade, which brings new privacy and institutional features to the XRP Ledger, the asset's price has not shown significant improvement. The upgrade is still pending validator approval before it goes live on the mainnet.
XRP ETFs have recorded a fourth consecutive week of net inflows, but the pace of investments slowed notably in early August as institutional participants adopted a more cautious approach. This reflects a market that remains wary of investing heavily near key psychological thresholds.
On the technical side, XRP is trading below its MA-20 and MA-50 on the H1 timeframe, with the long-term MA-200 at $1.3202 acting as a distant overhead barrier. The Ichimoku Kijun serves as immediate resistance.
