XRP Price Slumps as XRP Ledger Sees Surging Activity
XRP price has been underperforming this year, falling 27% by September 1st. However, the XRP Ledger is experiencing growth in the opposite direction.
The number of daily transactions on XRPL rose 21% to 2.4 million during the first eight months of 2026. This increase in activity has not been reflected in the price of XRP, which remains down 27.5% over the same period.
Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, has seen a significant shift towards the XRP Ledger. By July, its total market capitalization had risen to $1.58 billion, with 58.9% of its supply issued on XRPL.
XRPL's stablecoin market reached a record high in July, with over $1 billion in stablecoins trading on the platform. Ripple has also been expanding its institutional infrastructure, securing regulatory approvals and opening new offices in Dubai and Australia.
