XRP Price Stuck in Tight Coiling Pattern Ahead of Potential Breakout
XRP's price has been stuck in a tight coiling pattern for months, leading traders to speculate about a potential breakout. The token is currently trading near $1.09, with long and short traders getting liquidated repeatedly.
According to Xaif Crypto, the market analyst who flagged this signal, it's unusual to see neither side able to hold control for long. This tight range has been in place for weeks, despite continued trading activity underneath.
The 14-day trading range has shrunk significantly, and funding rates on futures have gone flat. This means traders are not leaning bullish or bearish as a group, indicating a lack of conviction.
Spot liquidity on Binance has thinned out since mid-June, which often precedes a fast move in either direction. The cumulative net inflows for XRP ETFs sit at $1.50 billion, with total net assets near $971.57 million as of July 28, 2026.
Regulatory clarity is also on hold due to the delayed Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. This removes a catalyst traders had hoped for, making it less likely in the short run.
