XRP Price Stymied by Global Currency Reset, Analyst Says
Crypto commentator and analyst Jesse of Apex Crypto Insights believes that XRP's price is being deliberately suppressed, citing a pattern of sharp rallies followed by reversals. 'You saw XRP ramp up and all of a sudden shoots back down,' he said.
Jesse thinks the suppression is tied to the Triffin Dilemma, an economic concept from the 1960s that holds no national currency can serve indefinitely as the world's reserve currency without eventually leading to chronic trade deficits. He suggests XRP could succeed where Special Drawing Rights failed by providing a more level global financial system.
The price of XRP surged over 45% last week, reaching $1.66 before pulling back below $1.40. Jesse linked this to the Triffin Dilemma, pointing out that public remarks from figures like Donald Trump and Treasury officials about the need for a more level global financial system are indirect nods toward the XRP Ledger.
However, Jesse was careful to note that his view remains speculative, acknowledging that price swings could be due to ordinary trading activity rather than any coordinated effort.
