XRP Price Tumbles as CLARITY Act Delayed
Senate Majority Leader John Thune confirmed that the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act will not get a floor vote before the Senate's August recess, due to Democratic opposition.
XRP took a significant hit, falling for a fifth consecutive session and touching a weekly low of $1.04 on August 6.
The token's price has been linked to the bill's outcome, as it would have permanently classified XRP as a commodity under federal law.
Cardano, however, moved in the opposite direction, climbing roughly 10% to 20% over the past week due to its own development roadmap and whale wallet accumulation.
