XRP Rally Fuels South Korea's Crypto Trading Rebound
The XRP rally has captured South Korea's attention once again, driving Upbit volume to a new high. On Saturday, the exchange processed about $830 million within an hour, with XRP accounting for 32.20% of that activity.
This surge in trading activity extends beyond Upbit, with Bithumb seeing a triple-digit increase in daily turnover on August 21. The exchange's volume climbed to nearly $934.9 million, while its later 24-hour turnover reached nearly $1.95 billion.
The XRP rally has also been driven by Ripple's commercial expansion in South Korea. Jeonbuk Bank became the third Korean partner for Ripple this year, deploying Ripple Payments to target cross-border payments and near real-time settlement.
