$XRP Reaches New Lows: Peter Brandt Unfazed by Token's Plunge
Peter Brandt, a veteran trader, has expressed his lack of interest in owning $XRP, a cryptocurrency linked to Ripple. In response to being challenged on X social media network, he stated that 'who cares about $XRP?' and claimed he would immediately convert a large position into BTC if he owned it.
Brandt's comments come as the token struggles to hold the psychologically important $1 level, currently trading at around $0.9992. This represents a decline of 72.6% from its all-time high of $3.65 reached on July 17, 2025.
This is not the first time Brandt has clashed with members of the $XRP community, who have accused him of being one of the token's most prominent critics. In the past, he has called $XRP 'addicts' and compared its relationship to Ripple as similar to the Federal Reserve's relationship with the U.S. dollar.
Brandt's views on $XRP are a far cry from his temporary truce with the community in late 2024, when he noted that the token had cleared its 2023 high and pointed to a 'massive coil.'
