XRP Recovery Hits Key Resistance Zone
XRP's recent recovery is facing significant technical resistance as it approaches key moving averages. The cryptocurrency has been climbing steadily since rebounding from its recent lows near $1.00, where buyers stepped in after weeks of selling pressure. This bounce gained traction with the formation of a small ascending triangle, helping XRP break above several short-term resistance levels on stronger trading volume.
However, the upward momentum stalled as XRP approached the critical resistance zone between $1.09 and $1.10, where previous price congestion meets declining 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages (EMAs). Currently, XRP remains below both the 50-day and 100-day EMAs, while the 200-day EMA sits significantly higher around $1.40.
Momentum indicators also point to caution, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) recovering from oversold conditions but remaining in neutral territory at 45-46. Unlike other large-cap cryptocurrencies, XRP has yet to push its RSI above the important 50 level, a sign of strengthening momentum.
