XRP Remains Strong Technically Despite Cooling Down
XRP has been trying to create an entirely new market structure after its explosive August breakout. The token has cooled down from its initial high of about $1.70 and is currently trading at around $1.42. Despite this, XRP's technical picture remains strong.
One significant indicator of this strength is that XRP is still above the daily chart's four major moving averages. The 200-day moving average is particularly important, as it has risen to $1.35. Since most of 2026, XRP had been below this level, so breaking through it marks a crucial technical shift.
For now, as long as XRP stays within the range of $1.35, $1.40, the breakout structure won't change into another price spike. Shorter moving averages offer less support, with the 50-day and 100-day averages at roughly $1.20 and $1.13 respectively, while the 20-day EMA is near $1.24.
Although XRP has pulled back from its overbought territory, this suggests that momentum is returning to normal. The immediate resistance on the upside is $1.50, but a daily close above this level could reopen the route toward $1.60 and the recent high of $1.70.
