XRP Retirements: How Much Would You Need Based on Three Price Scenarios
The XRP community has been eagerly awaiting the latest analysis on how much of the cryptocurrency would be needed to reach certain retirement goals. A well-known analyst revisits this question annually, providing updated numbers based on Fibonacci retracement levels drawn from XRP's price history. This year, three reference prices are used: $12.27, $48.58, and $589, representing conservative, moderately bullish, and highly bullish scenarios.
The analyst stresses that these calculations are not predictions or promises but rather exercises in scale. The actual price of XRP will depend on various factors, including regulatory clarity, institutional adoption, and genuine usage at scale, none of which are guaranteed.
To put the numbers into perspective, the analyst calculated the amount of XRP needed to reach retirement targets of $1 million, $3 million, and $10 million. At $12.27 per XRP, $1 million would require 81,499 XRP, while at $48.58 per XRP, it would need only 20,584 XRP.
A separate historical exercise was conducted to test the effects of dollar-cost averaging since 2017. Investing $200 in XRP every month from November 2017 to December 2020 would have resulted in a stack worth roughly $24,000 to $27,000 at XRP's current price near $1.10.
