XRP Rich List Thresholds Drop as Price Hits $1.40 Amid CLARITY Act Buzz
The XRP rich list has undergone another change, revealing that the thresholds for entering each tier are lower than previously thought. According to updated ledger data, it now takes at least 2,151 XRP tokens to rank among the top 10% of holders, while reaching the top 1% requires a minimum of 44,896 XRP tokens.
Despite these relatively low thresholds, the gap between Ripple's escrow and exchange custody wallets, as well as long-held founding allocations, and ordinary holder's few thousand tokens remains enormous. The report also highlights that reaching the top 10% doesn't require 'whale-sized capital', but just over 2,000 tokens is sufficient.
The XRP price has been steadily increasing, up 2% today and trading near $1.40. This increase in value can be attributed to various factors, including US spot XRP ETFs posting 11 straight sessions of positive inflows, totaling around $1.68 billion in cumulative net inflows.
The proposed CLARITY Act is also having a significant impact on the market, with regulatory developments being closely watched for signs of a decoupling from Bitcoin's broader market moves.
