XRP Sees Significant Gains Amid Convergence of Political Symbolism and Institutional Capital
Ripple's digital asset XRP has seen significant gains in recent days, climbing 14% over seven days and as much as 32% in another measurement window. The token changed hands near $1.45, $1.46 on Thursday.
The gain is attributed to a convergence of political symbolism, regulatory groundwork, and steadily accumulating institutional capital. A meeting at the White House between President Trump and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse on August 19-20 saw Trump advocate for a 'fair version' of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act.
The SEC has also unveiled a 'Regulation Crypto Assets' framework, which would ease token issuance and capital raising for crypto firms. Spot XRP ETFs recorded $23.87 million in inflows on Tuesday alone, marking a ninth consecutive day of positive flows with cumulative net inflows surpassing $1.6 billion.
Ripple has been busy strengthening its foundations, closing a $275 million bond issuance and partnering with Jeonbuk Bank to modernize cross-border payments. The XRP Ledger's reach is expanding into institutional payment rails.
