XRP Shifts from Payments Token to Institutional Asset
XRP has long been associated with payments, primarily as a tool for quicker cross-border transfers. However, its conversation has shifted in recent times, and institutions are now viewing it as a legitimate digital asset.
The XRP price is being watched closely, trading at nearly $1.12, with a market cap of around $69.4 billion, 24-hour volume of nearly $1.4 billion, and circulating supply of nearly 62.2 billion tokens out of a maximum of 100 billion.
Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has surpassed $1.5 billion in market capitalization, and XRP Ledger activity has increased alongside rising stablecoin settlement flows. This indicates the XRP payment function is changing rather than declining.
