XRP Short ETF Delayed as Teucrium's Long Fund Tops $150M
The Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF, which would deliver -2x XRP's daily price performance before fees and expenses, has been delayed again. The new effective date is set for October 11, 2026, according to an SEC filing.
This marks the latest extension of a regulatory process that began over a year ago. Despite this delay, demand for bullish XRP investment products remains strong. Teucrium's existing 2x Long Daily XRP ETF, XXRP, has already topped $151.5 million in assets under management and is trading on NYSE Arca.
The long-versus-short split is striking, especially given the recent growth of institutional ownership in XRP-linked products. Goldman Sachs, Jane Street, and Millennium Management are among reported holders of XRP ETFs, with Goldman's disclosed exposure estimated at $87.4 million.
