XRP Soars as Institutional Capital Floods In
Ripple's native XRP coin has seen significant growth in recent times, reaching as high as $1.55 last week. However, its price has slightly backtracked to trade at $1.42 on Wednesday afternoon.
The confluence of resistance at $1.50 is a notable challenge for the cryptocurrency, but the influx of institutional capital has been substantial. XRP-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen millions of dollars in cumulative inflows for six consecutive business days.
This has pushed the total net assets to $1.46 billion, nearing the all-time high of $1.56 billion set on January 14, 2026. The activity upswing on the XRP Ledger is also notable, with Bitwise and Franklin Templeton's ETFs being among the most active.
CryptoQuant data shows that crypto whales have transferred a significant amount of XRP coins to Binance in 30 days, but this doesn't necessarily indicate direct selling. Instead, it could be a sign of trading or portfolio reallocation.
Chart analyst Archie has identified a support box for XRP between $1.30 and $2.20, with the price currently above the SuperTrend price of $1.31. According to Archie, 'the structure never broke', making $2 the next target for XRP's price.
