XRP Soars to New Heights Amidst Resistance Hurdles
XRP has surged to new heights, becoming the strongest performer among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market value. In the past 24 hours, XRP gained as much as 14.21%, closing above two key moving averages for the first time since its August death cross formed.
The move outpaced Bitcoin's 7.44% gain and Ethereum's 4.50%. The resistance levels sit at $1.43 and a significant hurdle at $1.60, while support is near $1.34 and deeper floors. Momentum indicators show a stretched rally, with the Relative Strength Index reaching 83.5 and the Average Directional Index standing at 32.4.
The breakout follows a similar rally that pushed Bitcoin higher after the U.S. Treasury announced larger long-dated bond buybacks beginning September 9. The backdrop also included a $275 million bond sale linked to Ripple and new SEC crypto exemption rules.
