XRP Stalls Near $1 as Trading Activity Remains Weak
XRP has stalled at $1 despite softer US inflation rates on Sunday. Trading activity was weak, with the token's 24-hour volume sitting 72% below Wednesday's seven-day peak.
The softer inflation rates may have provided a supportive backdrop for risk assets, but XRP failed to benefit. The token changed hands at $1.002, up just 0.1% over 24 hours, and its market value stood near $62.8 billion.
CME Group's global crypto-products head, Giovanni Vicioso, noted that interest in XRP and its ledger has steadily increased since regulated hedging access was introduced. However, the token still lagged behind its peers over 24 hours.
