XRP Struggles Below $1.47 Breakout Zone Amid Mastercard's Expanding Role
XRP is currently trading near $1.38 after failing to break through its descending channel ceiling at around $1.47. Despite Mastercard's growing involvement in the XRP Ledger ecosystem, the token remains below the breakout zone of $1.47-$1.50.
The recent decline of 3.1% has led to increased derivatives activity, with open interest falling to around $3.23 billion from $3.5 billion. This has resulted in a derivatives-to-spot ratio of approximately 4.39:1, with spot volume standing at $990.60 million.
Mastercard's expansion into the XRP Ledger ecosystem continues, with its participation as a sponsor in the upcoming XRP Ledger Hackathon. The event, scheduled for October 24-25, will focus on protocol development, agentic finance, and lending.
