XRP Supply Surges as XRPL Revenue Plummets Amid Increased Activity
According to research by 21Shares, XRP's circulating supply increased by 5.5% over the past year due to ongoing monthly escrow releases.
The added supply was not offset by revenue generated from transaction fees on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which plummeted 81.6% in 2026 compared to the previous year, despite a significant increase in network activity.
In the first half of 2026, XRPL settled $159.9 billion in transactions but earned only $1.18 million in revenue, down from $6.43 million in the same period last year.
