XRP Surges 18.7% After White House Crypto Meeting

XRP's price jumped by 18.7% in the 24 hours after President Donald Trump's meeting with crypto executives and regulators at the White House on Aug. 19.

The meeting, which focused on the future of the crypto sector given the stalled Clarity Act, saw new regulations discussed as a possibility even if the bill never passes.

XRP was among the major cryptocurrencies to see significant gains following the announcement, with Bitcoin and Ethereum also climbing by double digits.

Ripple's CEO was present at the meeting, which may have contributed to XRP's price increase due to his ability to appeal directly to the administration.
