XRP Surges on Bitrue as Bitcoin ETFs Bleed Out $3.8B
XRP spot purchase volumes on Bitrue surged 212% between February 23 and 24, outpacing sell-side activity by more than two times. This increase in buying pressure comes amid continued inflows into XRP-linked exchange-traded funds.
The surge in demand is attributed to retail buyers, who accelerated their purchases during the two-day period. This concentrated buying pressure can tighten available supply in the near term if sustained, particularly in markets where sell-side liquidity has already been reduced by earlier liquidations.
Notably, this trend diverges from bitcoin-focused funds, which have seen $1.3 billion in net outflows so far this year. The rise in spot activity on Bitrue has occurred alongside steady institutional flows into XRP investment products, with $1.1 billion in net inflows since their launch in mid-November.
