XRP Surges Past Peers as Bitcoin Stalls at $79,000
Ripple's XRP outperformed major cryptocurrencies on Wednesday as Bitcoin struggled to reclaim the $80,000 level.
Bitcoin had attempted to reach this milestone after spending several sessions below it but was held back by stronger-than-expected U.S. jobs data that sparked expectations of another Federal Reserve rate hike.
XRP, however, rose about 3.8% to around $1.44, outpacing Bitcoin's 1% gain and Ethereum's 1.4% rise.
The relative strength of XRP coincided with the bifurcation of U.S. crypto ETF flows, where spot XRP ETFs saw inflows of about $1.55 million on Tuesday, while Bitcoin saw outflows of $46.65M.
