XRP Wallet Distribution Highlights Concentrated Ownership and Potential for Significant Gains
The XRP wallet distribution data shows a significant disparity between smaller investors and large holders. According to XRPscan, an address needs approximately $5.3 million in XRP holdings to rank among the top 0.01% of wallets, while roughly $400,000 is required for the top 0.1%. The threshold for the top 5% is around 7,500 XRP, worth about $10,300 at current prices.
Ripple remains the largest holder in the wallet distribution data, controlling approximately 38.6% of XRP's circulating supply through its 26 accounts. Most of these holdings are placed in escrow. Major exchanges and large holders also appear among the largest XRP wallets, including Upbit, Binance, and Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen.
A move toward $3.50 would significantly increase the value of large XRP holdings. For example, a 7,500-XRP balance would be worth approximately $26,250 at this price, while 1 million XRP would be worth around $3.5 million. At a $5 XRP price, a holder with 1 million XRP would have $5 million worth of the asset.
