XRP Wallet Distribution Highlights Concentrated Ownership and Massive Potential Gains
The distribution of XRP wallets reveals a significant disparity between small investors and the largest holders. Data from XRPscan shows that an address needs approximately $5.3 million in XRP to rank among the top 0.01% of holders, while the threshold for the top 0.1% is around $400,000.
Ripple remains the largest holder, controlling 26 accounts containing about 38.6% of XRP's circulating supply, most of which are in escrow. Major exchanges and large holders also have significant balances, with Upbit accounting for about 6.4% and Binance holding approximately 2.6%.
At a price of $3.50, the value of large XRP holdings would increase significantly. For example, an investor holding 7,500 XRP would have around $26,250, while 44,000 XRP would be worth approximately $154,000.
The wallet distribution highlights concentrated ownership in XRP, with a relatively small number of addresses controlling substantial amounts. However, the largest wallets include Ripple escrow accounts and exchange wallets, which may not accurately represent individual investor ownership.
