XRP Whale Buying Continues Amid Market Weakness
Large XRP holders have been buying up tokens during their decline from $2.40 in January to the current range of $1.00, $1.20, according to CryptoQuant data.
Despite sustained purchases by whales, the buying activity has not been strong enough to trigger a broader market rally, indicating that the market remains in a consolidation phase.
CryptoQuant notes that average XRP spot order sizes have remained within 'big whale' levels during 2026. Meanwhile, the 90-day taker cumulative volume delta has shifted from early-year buying dominance to a more balanced reading, suggesting steady accumulation and price stabilization rather than panic selling or an uptrend.
In contrast to other major cryptocurrencies, Ethereum stands out as being significantly undervalued. Its current trading price near $1,900 is approximately 20% below its realized price of around $2,450, indicating that the average Ethereum holder is currently at an unrealized loss.
