XRP Whale-Retail Spread Maintains July Levels Despite 30% Price Surge
XRP has seen a significant price increase of around 30% since late July, rising to near $1.38.
However, data from exchange outflow shows an interesting trend in whale and retail activity that could influence XRP's future direction.
The Whale vs Retail Spread indicator measures the relative share of large and retail XRP transfers leaving cryptocurrency exchanges. A higher reading indicates increased whale activity compared to retail activity.
On Binance, this metric stood at 35.6% on July 28 but has only risen to 36.3%, a small increase of just 0.7 percentage points over six weeks.
This suggests that the recent price rally did not bring a similar surge in whale activity compared to retail transfers on Binance.
